"Tyme" was my little English girl.  Her mom was imported from England, and when I met her when she came to "marry" Palmer, I knew I wanted a puppy from the match.  I was expecting a boy, but her breeder, Gloria Kerr, said the girls were better and sent my little Tyme instead.  She had field instinct like no other dog I've trained, though her sweet, soft manner had to be handled with kid gloves.  She achieved her WCX at age 10 after several year on hiatus, but it wasn't much of a challenge for her as birds and retrieving were her true passions.  At our last dog shows of 2006 she finished her CDX title, which completed her VC title and made my beloved Palmer an Outstanding Sire.  Tymey reentered the dog show ring at age 12 1/2 in 12 and over Veteran Classes and went BVISS multiple times from the ancient dog class.  She is my longest living golden to live with me so far, the first golden of my life to see her 13th birthday.  At her last National specialty in Oklahoma in 2009 she earned the coveted Triathlon Award by winning her 12 and over sweepstakes class, qualifying in the WC, and qualifying in Veteran Novice Obedience.  She went hard four days in a row and ended asking for more.  Tymey laid down to rest one evening after dinner at 13 1/2 years of age, three months after her Triathlon Award, and quietly closed her eyes and left me.  Hers was a charmed life, never a sick or worried day, happy to the last beat of her heart.  There'll never be another to approach her in my heart.
