My pretty girl was a great show dog, too. She major pointed at 13 months of age and her next show weekend went Best in Sweeps under breeder Brian Rex, and later that same day went Reserve Winner's Bitch to a specialty five-point major under breeder judge Cathy Lorentzen. Style, looks, movement -- the whole package appeared to be Meme. When she started her serious field work she made it clear her talent was passed directly from grandpa/great-grandpa, Sinclair. But before she could realize her potential, Meme broke my heart by not waking up one day. Abrupt, acute hemorrhage from splenic hemangiosarcoma ended her life far, far too soon at age six. Terrible loss to me, she was talented and funny and sweet, a particular favorite in many ways. Her mom's potential for her Outstanding Dam title also died with Meme.
