His mom was a beautiful, red bitch with a totally novel pedigree, but I'd thought the ranks were too full to take another puppy from this litter. When I lost Baines so unexpectedly, I couldn't pass on the last opportunity for one of his puppies that I would ever have. Bertie is a cookie cutter image of his dad in a slightly darker coat. He has the same beautiful head and expression, the same fluid movement. He is specialty major pointed from renounced breeder judge Betty Gay's final judging assignment, a very exciting day! It was only his third weekend as an open dog. He has produced many beautiful and talented puppies out of both conformation and field bitches.
